This is the farm owned by Crofton resident Anne Davidson, who spoke to our club about lavender a few years ago.

Deep Creek Lavender Farm  is open to the public on weekends throughout the summer, between Memorial Day and Labor Day. A lavender-themed boxed-lunch, catered by Moonshadow Cafe, is available to visitors who place an order 24 hours in advance. Opportunities to tour the fields and learn about the growing and use of lavender are available for groups by special arrangement.

Check their “Events and Happenings” calendar for programs throughout the season on topics from “Growing Lavender” to “Candle Making.” Special events during the off-season will also be listed on their website at Deep Creek Lavender Farm. (click on the link)

More about the farm, from their website:

“The farm currently over 1200 lavender plants with 15 different varieties of English lavender in shades of purple, white, and pink.

Stop in and visit the farm store for a great selection of lavender products including eye masks, neck wraps, quilts, body products, candles, lavender jams and jellies, plants and so much more.  Culinary lavender grown on the farm is available for purchase to try in recipes at home.

Visitors can pick their own bouquet of lavender during bloom season (usually mid-June and July).”

The drive to Deep Creek Lavender Farm from Crofton is less than 200 miles, a little over 3 hours each way, and you might want to allow time to stop at the Premium Outlets in Hagerstown on your way home.
