One of the founding objectives for Crofton Village Garden Club in 1969 was to encourage member interest in flower-arranging.  Now, four decades later, we return to those roots with “The Art of Flower Arranging” as the theme for our programming throughout the 2010-2011year.

Our goal is to build confidence and skills in preparation for a standard flower show to be held in the spring. Guest speakers and club members will share their knowledge and experience regarding flower shows with others who are eager to learn.

We look forward to sharing our flower arrangements with others in our community, particularly the critically wounded military veterans at nearby Baltimore VA Rehabilitation and Extended Care Center and patients at the Crofton Care and Rehabilitation Center.

We will be supported in this effort throughout the year by National Garden Clubs, Inc. and the Federated Garden Clubs of Maryland.  In fact, our own District II Director, Sylvia Deck, will be a presenter for a flower-arranging workshop in January.

The Flower Show Committee is working hard to finalize the details, including the date, location and theme, so please visit our website for more information throughout the year.
