Crofton Village Garden Club Tours Mount Vernon

Crofton Village Garden Club finished out the 2008-2009 year with a bus trip to Mount Vernon, home of George Washington.  Several guests joined us for the outing on
June 3.

Program Chairman Sally Moore made the arrangements for this trip, and everything was perfect – from the charter bus to the open schedule allowing us to visit the house or grounds at our own pace to lunch at the Mount Vernon Inn.  Thank you, Sally, for a wonderful job throughout the year and especially for planning this wonderful day.  Hostess Chair Diane Smith also deserves our thanks for the wonderful goodie bags we received on the bus.

A brief business meeting was held en route to Mount Vernon, and Sunny Frank welcomed the many guests who joined us for the trip.  Here are a few photos I took during the day, and I welcome any additional ones if members will please forward them to my email address.
